Days of Our Lives - KIU June

Hello lovelies... Sheesh it is so good to be back in the 'land of the living', after a weekend of a not-so nice-bug. My coffee this morning has never tasted so good!

This month's Kraft it Up! challenge is to create a "Project Life" inspired layout. Use a week out of this month and take a minimum of 3 photos (more if you want to) and you need to journal about what has happened that week. Here is my DT layout...

I experimented with a Project Life type concept last month, with the Echo Park Photo Freedom. Can't say it came easily! A layout showing my, at times, crazy life, is much more up my alley - and turned out to be a great way to use up some scraps!

Yep, that's a teeny tiny snake - probably the only size I would ever consider holding while breathing normally!

Materials used: Silhouette Cameo; Kraft paper; various Basic Grey scraps; Greatest View Snapshot badge; Simple Stories 24/7 fundamentals stickers; Studio Calico Tiny Stars wood veneer, Atlantic sequins & Cork stickers;

Don't forget, you have until 11.59pm 30th June to link your entry to be in the chance to win one of the awesome prizes on offer this month!

Thanks for visiting!

A 'Crafty' Character

Time for my news...

I am going to be Guest Designing for 2Crafty for the next couple of months!

Thanks to Vanessa and Di for giving me the opportunity to play alongside some of my personal Scrap Heroes :)

Looking forward to getting my hands dirty with some fabulous chippies... You can check them out here and pop in for some inspiration on the blog here.

TTFN!

Cake and Jelly in your belly!

Hello lovelies,

It's been a tough week. There have been ups and some not so nice downs. But the weekend is just about upon us, which is reason enough to celebrate!

I'm sharing some sweet treats on the Sassy Scrappers blog today... (party inspiration by Kim Jeffress)  The Pier is just too delicious!

If you would like to see a few close ups and see how I popped these babies together, pop over to the Sassy blog...

I will be back with some exciting news a bit later :)

Till then!

Daddy Loves You

It has been the most wonderful scrappy weather in Brisbane tonight... Perfect for putting the finishing touches on a couple of layouts that I will be sharing soon.

I was fortunate to be able to attend the Scrapbook Expo last weekend and put some lovely faces to names! What a hoot - looking forward to catching up again soon.

I'd love to share this layout I've created for the mid month DT reveal at 123. This month the criteria are:

I've admired a technique of paper piercing for a while now and thought this would be a great opportunity to give it a go. I wanted to have major emphasis on the word 'you', so I set the word on my computer, printed it out the size I wanted it to be, and then set about piercing loads of tiny holes into my cardstock...

I loved the effect! But it had to stand out a touch more on the page, so I gave it a light coat of Stickles.

I've used silver instead of grey. (Nursing a mild obsession with embossing powder at the moment.)

I've used a couple of circular shapes; some gorgeous Greatest View flair, some fussy cut, embossed shapes from an Amy Tangerine stamp set. Some journalling on vellum, a couple of sequins and a new Crafters Workshop template I picked up at the show.

Materials used: Kaisercraft cardstock, Crate Maggie Holmes, Amy Tangerine 'Yes Please' clear stamps, AC silver embossing powder, Versamark, Greatest View flair, Studio Calico wood veneer #200, SC Atlantic sequins, The Crafters Workshop 'Mini Well Rounded' 6x6 template, Memento ink, Glitz Stickles, fountain pen, pin & twine

I'm completely thrilled with the way it turned out. Hopefully you get a chance to join us this month - it would be great to see you there!

Thanks for popping in!
